A Bad Day for Reid

Last Friday, upon the release of the latest monthly jobs report, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said, “Only 36,000 people lost their jobs today, which is really good." Harry Reid made these comments because he is simply out of touch with the American people and his constituents in Nevada, which doesn’t speak well of Senator Reid’s leadership.

Senator Reid deserves to be voted out of office if he is so out of touch with his constituents that he truly believes it is good news that 36,000 more… Continue

It Should Take 60 Votes

The health care bill now being pushed by the White House would fundamentally rewrite a full sixth of the economy of the United States. It would grant the government unprecedented control over how our health care is paid for, which doctors we are allowed to see and what treatment options we are able to consider.

Eight Months to Go

Exactly eight months from today, the American people will go to the polls. What we do over those next eight months will decide whether we elect a common-sense, conservative Congress or hand the Democrats another two years to try to give the government more control over our health care, our jobs and our lives.

If a day is an eternity in politics, you can imagine what can happen in eight months. Yet, the way forward for our Party is clear. The lessons we should take to guide us until Election Day… Continue

Columbus Summit Update

Ohio gubernatorial candidate John Kasich just took the stage at today's summit to a standing ovation from fired up Republicans from Ohio and elsewhere in the region. He followed former White House Press Secretary Dana Perino, who spoke to the attendees about the importance of believing in themselves and stood as an example that women can do anything in our Party.

Former Representative Kasich is speaking about the importance of making sure that we hand down an America to our children and grandch… Continue

Jan,
Thank you for your encouraging words. I am a forty-something mother of two teenagers and a former corp executive. Please continue your hard work in bringing us likeminded women together and also continue to let us know how we can get involved. I have a very strong desire to put my business skills to work for the betterment of our country as I stepped out of the job market to raise my children and be the one to instill these conservative values that all of us on the website hope to reclaim. I just need to know where they would be best put to use so if you have any suggestions, please forward them. God Bless

Hi Jan. Julie, Rock Springs native here!
I was wondering if there is any way to find out who is online without going through all the members? Is there a way to message the online people when we are online too?
I am glad you started this site. I am living in NV now and plan on aiding the GOP to beat Harry Reid in the 2010 senate race.
My heart is still in Wyoming and I keep up with all ya'll. (That term I got in Georgia before I moved to NV!)

Thanks Jan! It was a pleasure meeting you yesterday as well, and I'm so glad you liked my Weekly Standard piece on Afghan Women. It was posted yesterday morning just before I left for the RWFF luncheon, so I was so pleased to hear Dana talk about the importance of the women's rights angle on the Afghanistan issue. The conference call with Liz Cheney sounds great -- I'm looking forward to it! Thanks so much for all the great work you're doing.
